These illustrations were created as merchandise for a Hungarian brewery.
The origin of the idea was to pair and display some animals with hops in an illustrated way and extend the brewery's store with some extra products. The aim of these digital illustrations was to refer the ink paintings and the classic relief printing techniques, such us woodcut or linocut. The purpose of using all shades, lines, and contrast was to strengthen this reference. Even the small faints and dots reflects the interaction, the paint absorption, between the paint and the paint carrier.
As a sequel of the project, 4 more illustrations were created with a similar concept but in a mythical environment, by using creatures that typically occur in different cultures.
